Beanless Frijoles

Plantain Flour Refried "Beans"

This is a crazy good side dish to replace those hard to digest beans.

c = cup, t = teaspoon, T = tablespoon




  • 1/4 c POW! Plantain Flour

  • To taste: 1 t cumin, 1/2 t turmeric, 1/2 t black pepper, pinch of salt

  • 1 T oil

  • 3/4 c water (or jalapeno juice)



  1. Heat oil in pan

  2. add spices

  3. add POW! Plantain Flour

  4. cook in oil until browned

  5. Add water and mix well

  6. Add more water if necessary as consistency should be similar to refried beans

  7. Enjoy!
