What is resistance starch and do plantains have it?

POW! Plantain Flour is rich in resistant starch (RS2), a type of carbohydrate that has properties that act on the body that are similar to fiber. The plantain resistance starch delays the digestion of food, helping to satisfy hunger. Resistance starch reaches the intestine being digested by the bacteria in our normal intestinal bacterial flora (aka – the good guys)

Fiber:
POW! Plantain Flour 1/3 c = 2g- 8% RDA
plantain fruit 100g= 2.3g fiber
